When a 6pm Nap Turns into 1am Meal Prep

I fell asleep super early and woke up around 10ish. Scrolled a bit, listened to a new album,  and then finally thought, ‘Might as well get this over with, Saturday is busy enough’. 

I boiled boxed spaghetti my mom gave me. It has extra fiber. Then, I sautéed shredded carrots and parsley before adding it to a pot of canned beans, tomato sauce, and extra tomato paste. 

The jar of sauce was only five servings so I bought a little can to supplement. 

This is definitely a "food as fuel" meal. I don’t like red sauce, but sometimes it’s hard for me to get in enough vegetables and red sauce is less calorically dense than glorious cream sauces. Furthermore,  I’m being strategic in my spending. 

To be honest,  I might need to be hangry to eat this, but I’m doing something different with it and it could work out. Cheese always helps. 

Sometimes you need to do things you don’t like because it helps you. This can apply to wearing a mask too ;)

Update 10:50am:

It could be the beans…Adding that plus my usual cheese and BBQ soy sauce this kinda slaps.  So, maybe try masking and you won’t hate it as much as you think you do.
